I noticed that with the hipaa compliance toggle only certain voice providers are available. Does this mean that signing a BAA with Vapi covers these voice providers as well or do we need to sign a BAA with them additionally?

Hi @nandu7948, I'm an AI assistant for Vapi. I'll analyze available sources and get back to you shortly.

### Answer Signing a Business Associate Agreement (BAA) with Vapi does not automatically cover the voice providers used in HIPAA compliance mode. You will need to sign separate BAAs with each voice provider to ensure full compliance. Vapi's HIPAA compliance mode ensures that no call logs, recordings, or transcriptions are stored, and certain voice providers are available to ensure compliance, but it is your responsibility to cover the legal agreements with those providers [(1)]() , [(2)]() .

In this case, if we'd like to still use 11 labs can we sign a BAA with them and then still be able to use them as a provider with the hipaa compliance toggle on? As of rn, when hipaa is toggled 11labs is not an option.

You will need to sign the BAA with them additionally.
