Ordering a +33 phone number (france)

Hello, Your online assistant tells me that only US and CA numbers can be booked from the application. Is this correct? So, I created an account on Twilio and... there is no French number (+33) available. I created an account on Vonage and no French number (+33) is available either. Your online assistant told me that I needed to find a French +33 number provider to integrate into Twilio or Vonage, and then integrate into VAPI. Is this the best way? If so, what do you recommend? Best, Matthieu

Hi @Matthieu GARCIA, I'm an AI assistant for Vapi. I'll analyze available sources and get back to you shortly.
----------------------------- **While I generate an answer, here are some sources that might be helpful**: * [Import Vonage Number]() * [Inbound Calling]() * [Outbound Calling]() * [Get Call]() -----------------------------
### Answer Hello Matthieu, Yes, you are correct that only US and Canada phone numbers can be directly purchased through Vapi. For phone numbers in other regions, including France, they must be imported from external telephony providers like Twilio or Vonage [(1)]() . If neither Twilio nor Vonage currently offers French numbers, you might need to explore other telephony providers who can offer +33 numbers. Once you obtain a French number, it can be integrated into Vapi by importing it, as you've mentioned. This is indeed the recommended approach given the limitations with direct procurement of non-US/CA numbers through Vapi. I recommend checking periodically with Twilio and Vonage for availability or exploring other telephony providers that might offer French numbers. Once a number is secured, you can import it into Vapi using the import functionality [(2)]() . Best regards, Inkeep

Or adding new providers like Zadarma directly on the vapi panel ? (Like Twilio and Vonage with their API) The thing I’m developing a webapp based on vapi (+cal +11lab +etc) and for sure, the French companies are looking for our national area in +33 And unfortunately, Twilio and vonage are not doing the job for us, the Europeans

@Matthieu GARCIA Add a Caller ID on twilio witha french number you own / skype number, itll work
You’d just have to pay international fees
But thats the work around

You mean, if I understand well, that I can order a +33 phone number via Skype, then import this number into Twilio to be able to use their api on vapi ?
a
yes
since they recently added the ability to use caller ids in the api
double check the information before doing it thouggh
I used my phone number as a caller id and made it call a resturant and it worked, but it was outside vapi. so double check if they actually made caller id's work inside of vapi

You can watch this video

like you can request the +33 number from Twilio

Matthieu I think this might help you; it’s the way to connect Twlnyx, which offers local numbers in many countries and costs only €1 in Spain, with VAPI. For this, I used Cloudonix. It's ok for inbound and outbound
