I have issues getting numbers from vonage or twillo for Singapore. I would like to ask if anyone can help
v
@leesweb3sg Certainly! I can assist you with importing a phone number from Twilio or purchasing a new phone number for Singapore through VAPI. To proceed, could you please provide me with the details of the issue you're facing? If you're trying to import a number from Twilio, I'll need the Twilio phone number and your Twilio Account SID to help you with the API call. If you're looking to buy a new Singapore phone number, I can guide you through that process as well. Which option would you like to proceed with?

@Vapi
I want numbers besides vonage or twillo
v
@leesweb3sg I understand that you're experiencing difficulties purchasing a number for outbound calls in Singapore. This could be due to various reasons such as local regulations, availability of numbers, or account-specific issues. To assist you further, I would need to know the exact error message or issue you're encountering when attempting to purchase the number. If it's an account-specific issue, you may need to contact Twilio or Vonage support directly to resolve it. If you're looking for general guidance on how to purchase a number for outbound calls in Singapore, I can provide you with the steps or direct you to the appropriate resources. Please let me know how you would like to proceed or if there's any specific information you need.

Then, you can simply buy a US number from Twilio and verify your caller id and you can use it to mask the data.
But, if you want to integrate your local provider then you can do it via SIP Trunking but you need to be on enterprise plan for it.
l
Do you have the above steps for it?
oh wow, how do I perform this.
Add your number here
and simply use that number to import it to Vapi
l
Oh I see,
So that means that a Singapore number can just directly call the number on twillo that is connected to my vapi?
s
Yeah
