Background noise preventing response

Call ID 0c6bfce5-241b-451f-b990-9d23afc792ce I'm calling what appears to be another VAPI assistant which has the Background Sound: Office option enabled. The constant background sound seems to be preventing the assistant from identifying the end of the first part of the conversation, and the call is eventually dropped from the silence timeout. How can I get VAPI to ignore this background noise and respond when the speaker is done speaking their initial question?

@Brian @ Testbot.app LemurLabs.ai To address the issue of background noise interfering with the conversation, VAPI offers features such as noise suppression and voice activity detection that can help distinguish between speech and non-speech elements in the audio stream. However, as an assistant, I don't have the capability to directly modify the behavior of another VAPI assistant or the underlying system. To resolve this issue, you would typically need to adjust the settings of the VAPI assistant that is experiencing difficulty with background noise. This might involve configuring the noise suppression level or adjusting the silence timeout settings to better handle the presence of constant background sound. If you're looking for a specific function or setting within VAPI to ignore background noise and detect when the speaker has finished speaking, you may need to consult the VAPI documentation or reach out to the support team for guidance on how to implement this feature. For now, if you have access to the VAPI assistant's configuration, you can look for settings related to noise suppression, voice activity detection, or silence timeout, and adjust them accordingly. If you do not have access or are unsure how to proceed, please ask support for more info on this.

- background voice has nothing to do with end of speech detection. - no one spoke in the call - if you still find it untrue, try disabling the bg voice - also change llmRequestDelaySeconds, and responseDelaySeconds to defaults unless have knowingly set.
