I apologize for any confusion. If your assistant is set up primarily for outbound calls, you typically wouldn't call into it. However, if you also have it configured to handle inbound calls, then yes, you can test it by calling the number associated with your assistant.
If you want to test outbound functionality specifically, you would need to initiate an outbound call from your assistant to the desired number using the /call/phone endpoint. You can specify a temporary assistant or reuse an existing one by providing the assistantId.
