When calling the number I get: "The phone you are using does not allow outgoing calls" which makes no sense since I am calling the (AI assistant) number from my phone.

@rabcd I'm sorry to hear that you're experiencing difficulties with making calls. It sounds like there might be an issue with the call forwarding setup within the AI assistant. To assist you better, could you please confirm if you are using the Create Assistant API and if you have set the
forwardingPhoneNumber
attribute? If so, please ensure that the
forwardingPhoneNumber
is correctly configured, or try setting it to null or an empty string ('') to see if that resolves the issue. If you need further assistance, please let me know!
You can continue this conversation by mentioning me in the message.

Hey! To help track down this issue, could you share: - The phone number ID This would really help us figure out what went wrong!

Hi Shubham, I think all my numbers are affected
For example this one: 91f7c302-ffb4-4763-a84f-d057dc4ce486
Ok removing and adding the number again worked. Do you know what' the reason why this happens? I need to put some assistants in production and it is concerning if the assistant gets disconnected from Twilio randomly and without an alert
@Shubham Bajaj now I am getting another weird behavior. The call starts but I hear no sound
s
Hey @rabcd can you share the recent call id?
What could have happened is you have imported your numbers somewhere else as well, which might have replaced Vapi urls for the webhook stuff. So, deleting and adding it back has replace the incorrect url and then it worked for you. Now @rabcd what I require from you is call id, for your recent issue. - The call ID - When exactly this happened (the timestamp) - What response you expected to get - What response you actually got instead This would really help me figure out what went wrong!

Hi @User : - the calls aren't shown in the dashboard - What happened is that the call starts like if somebody picked it up but the assistant doesn't start to talk - the webhook in Twilio is correctly set to VAPI inbound calls

@rabcd can you check in server url what debugging artifacts Vapi is sending, these debugging artifacts are self-explanatory. You might be missing something very small but in case you still require any help ping me here and share the debugging artifacts.
@rabcd did you got chance to try out the suggestion and if worked can i close this ticket?
r
Hi @Shubham Bajaj yes you can close it
