API Key/Make.com

Hey, Trying to connect my Vapi to make.com. It is asking for an API key. My dashboard has no billing tab, no provider key tab or anything to assist with the connection. Feels like I am missing a chunk of the platform.
v
@SB Hello! It sounds like you're looking to integrate VAPI with make.com and need an API key to proceed. Typically, API keys are provided within the user dashboard under sections like "API", "Settings", or "Integration". Since you mentioned that you're not seeing options like a billing tab or provider key tab, it's possible that the API key might be located in a different section or that you may need to enable certain features or permissions on your account to view it. If you're already logged into the VAPI dashboard, I would recommend checking the following: 1. Look for sections named "API", "Settings", "Integration", "Developer", or similar. 2. Check if there's a user profile or account settings area where API access might be managed. 3. Ensure that your account has the necessary permissions to view and generate API keys. If you're still unable to locate the API key or the relevant section within the dashboard, it may be best to reach out to VAPI support directly for assistance. They can provide you with specific guidance on where to find the API key or how to enable the necessary features on your account. Please let me know if there's anything else I can assist you with!

I dont have any sections on my web dashboard like that. I have, overview, platform, voice library, logs and profile.
@Vapi

@SB I understand that you're not seeing the expected sections in your VAPI dashboard. It seems like the API key might not be readily available through the standard user interface in your case. Since the necessary tabs or sections for API key access are not visible, I would recommend reaching out to VAPI support for further assistance. They should be able to guide you on how to obtain your API key or resolve any issues with your dashboard. If you'd like, I can assist you in closing this ticket, and you can then contact VAPI support directly for a resolution on the API key matter. Would you like me to proceed with closing this support ticket?

@Vapi do i need to custom make a dashboard to have access to all of the aboce mentioned tabs?
v
@SB No, you should not need to custom make a dashboard to access standard features such as API keys and other tabs. These features are typically included as part of the service's default user interface. If you're not seeing the necessary tabs to access your API key and other features, it could be due to one of the following reasons: 1. **Account Type**: Your current account type or subscription level may not include access to API features. Some platforms restrict API access to certain types of accounts. 2. **User Permissions**: Your user account may not have the necessary permissions to view or manage API keys. This can happen if there are multiple roles within an organization and you have a role with limited access. 3. **Dashboard Update**: The dashboard or the way the service provides API keys may have recently been updated, and the documentation or guidance you're following might be outdated. 4. **Technical Issue**: There could be a technical issue or a bug preventing the display of certain tabs on your dashboard. The best course of action is to contact VAPI support to clarify why you're not seeing the expected tabs and how you can access your API key. They will be able to provide you with accurate information based on your specific account details and their system's current setup. Would you like me to guide you on how to contact VAPI support, or is there anything else I can assist you with at this moment?

@Vapi how do i check my subscription level if i dont have access to the billing tab? i am currently on pay as i go. is that the correct one to be on?
v
@SB If you're on a pay-as-you-go plan with VAPI, that typically means you're billed based on your usage rather than a fixed monthly or annual subscription fee. However, the availability of certain features, like API access, may vary depending on the specific details of your plan. Since you don't have access to the billing tab, here are a few steps you can take to check your subscription level and ensure you're on the correct plan: 1. **Profile or Account Settings**: Sometimes subscription information is located within your profile or account settings rather than a dedicated billing tab. 2. **Email Confirmation**: When you signed up for the pay-as-you-go plan, you might have received an email confirmation that details your subscription level and the features included. 3. **Contact Support**: Reach out to VAPI support directly for assistance. They can provide you with information about your current subscription level and whether it includes API access. 4. **Documentation**: Review the VAPI documentation or FAQ section on their website, which might outline which features are available for different subscription levels. To proceed with checking your subscription level, you can visit the VAPI support page or contact them via email or phone. If you need assistance with contacting support or have any other questions, please let me know, and I'll be happy to help.

@Vapi how do i change my subscription
v
@SB To change your subscription level with VAPI, you would typically follow these steps: 1. **Log in to your VAPI Dashboard**: Access your VAPI account by logging in with your credentials. 2. **Navigate to Account Settings**: Look for a section related to your account or subscription settings. This might be under "Profile", "Account", or a similar section. 3. **Subscription Options**: Within the account settings, there should be an option to view your current plan and change your subscription. 4. **Select a New Plan**: Review the available plans and select the one that best fits your needs. There may be instructions or a button to upgrade or change your plan. 5. **Confirm Changes**: Follow the prompts to confirm any changes to your subscription. You may need to enter payment information if you're moving to a higher-tier plan. 6. **Save or Submit**: Make sure to save or submit your changes. You should receive confirmation that your subscription has been updated. If you cannot find these options or if the process is not clear, it's best to contact VAPI support directly for assistance. They can guide you through the process or make the changes on your behalf. Since you mentioned that you do not have access to the billing tab, contacting support is likely necessary in this case. Would you like guidance on how to reach out to VAPI support for help with changing your subscription?

@Vapi yea give me the best way to contact support
v
@SB Certainly! To contact VAPI support for assistance with your subscription or any other issues, you can typically use one of the following methods: 1. **Support Email**: Check for a support or help email address on the VAPI website or in any communication you've received from them. Sending an email can be a good way to get detailed help and have a record of the conversation. 2. **Contact Form**: Look for a contact form on the VAPI website under the "Support" or "Contact Us" section. Fill out the form with your query, and the support team should get back to you. 3. **Live Chat**: Some platforms offer a live chat feature on their website. If available, this can be a quick way to get in touch with support. 4. **Phone Support**: If VAPI provides a customer support phone number, you can call them for direct assistance. 5. **Help Center or FAQ**: Before reaching out, you might want to check the VAPI Help Center or FAQ section for answers to common questions about subscriptions. 6. **Community Forums**: If VAPI has a user community or forum, you can post your question there. Other users or community managers might be able to help. Please choose the method that you're most comfortable with. If you need further assistance or have any other questions, feel free to ask.
