Hi, I'd like to highlight currently spoken word of a transcript. Deepgram has features to allow it. I wonder if Vapi apstracts them out or is it still acessible and possible. Currenly message event's transcription comes without word timestamps.

@horrokoro Hello! VAPI does provide the capability to handle real-time transcription events, which can include timestamps for each word if the underlying service, such as Deepgram, supports it. However, if the current implementation of VAPI does not include word timestamps in the transcription messages, you might need to enable or request this feature specifically. To proceed, I would need to check if there's an option or a setting that can be adjusted to include word timestamps in the transcription events. If this feature is available, I can guide you on how to enable it. If it's not currently available, you may need to ask support for more information on how to access this feature with VAPI. Would you like me to check for the availability of this feature within VAPI?
You can continue this conversation by mentioning me in the message.

@Vapi please check if there's such feature to enable
v
@horrokoro Please ask support for more info on this.

@Vapi where could i reach support? Aren't we in support channel already?
v
@horrokoro My apologies for the confusion. Yes, we are indeed in the support channel. To assist you further with enabling word timestamps in the transcription events, I would need to know more about your current setup and the specific VAPI features you are using. Could you please provide me with additional details about how you are currently using VAPI for transcription? This will help me understand whether there is a setting or parameter that you can adjust to include word timestamps.

@horrokoro as of we are abstracting words timestamps but you can do rough calculation by yourself using secondsFromStart for server events transcription and conversation-update. https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/1324675407642886177/1324746490509266954/Screenshot_2025-01-03_at_19.58.34.png?ex=677945cf&is=6777f44f&hm=919bec552a2ebf39a49315a2b8c38ed0094982b1e98a879eef994981265cae10&
