Unable to save the Bearer token in Secret Field when defining tools
v
@Yashas I'm sorry to hear you're having trouble saving the Bearer token in the Secret Field. To assist you better, could you please provide me with more details about the issue you're encountering? Are you receiving any error messages, or is the token not persisting after you save it?
You can continue this conversation by mentioning me in the message.

@Yashas It seems like there might be an issue with the persistence of the Bearer token in the Secret Field. Normally, the Bearer token should be saved in the Secret Field to ensure security and should not be visible after saving. However, it should still be present and used in the header for authorization when making API calls. If the Secret Field is empty after a refresh, and the header fields are not retaining the token, this could be a bug or a session-related issue. Here's what you can do: 1. Ensure that you are saving the token correctly after entering it into the Secret Field. 2. Check if there are any browser extensions or settings that might be interfering with the persistence of the data. 3. Try using a different browser or incognito mode to see if the issue persists. 4. Make sure you are not clearing your browser cache or cookies automatically, which might cause the loss of saved data. If the issue continues, please reach out to the support team with details of the problem for further assistance. They may need to investigate the platform behavior or provide an alternative method for securing your Bearer token.

how do i reach out to the support team @Vapi
v
@Yashas To reach out to the support team, you can typically follow these steps: 1. Visit the official website or user portal of the service or product you're using. 2. Look for a 'Support', 'Help', or 'Contact Us' section. 3. Choose the method of contact that suits you best – this could be a support ticket system, email, live chat, or phone support. 4. Provide detailed information about the issue you're facing, including any steps you've already taken to try to resolve it. If you're unable to find contact information or a support section, you might also check the documentation or FAQs for guidance on support procedures. Since I don't have the specific contact details for the support team you need, please check the relevant website or documentation for the exact process to contact them. If you need further assistance, let me know the specific product or service, and I can guide you more accurately.

Is there any email address for support @Vapi
v
@Yashas Please ask support for more info on this.

@Yashas could you send over a loom video so I can take a look?
The same thing is happening with headers too @Shubham Bajaj
s
@Yashas Your server secret token is saved securely in our system, but for security reasons we cannot display it in the dashboard. This might make it appear as if the secret wasn't saved, when it actually was. I'll ask the team to add a placeholder indicator to better show that your secret is successfully saved and stored.

Its working, thank you @Shubham Bajaj . Also can you tell me the reason behind 10 calls per day limit for mobile phone call, when a number is purchased via vapi platform itself??
s
It is imposed by Twilio that if you want to make more outbound calls, you have to purchase a number from Twilio.

@Shubham Bajaj I think there is a problem with saving system prompt, many a times i have noticed that prompt is not being saved properly.
@Shubham Bajaj The tools are not showing up in the tools sections. Is this is problem with everyone??
s
@Yashas Could you share a recent Loom video so I could take a look?
