Quite assistant.

Hi everyone. Hope you’re all doing well in your projects. I decided to join because after a lot of seeking and self learning I managed to do most of the heavy lifting in creating the my virtual assistant and configuring it with Make.com to automate a booking assistant bot for my business. However I am stuck since I just can’t get the assistant to use the response from the webhook. I am using an HTTP module in make to make the call and then a different scenario to see for availability and book the meeting. I am providing the webhook response module with the response in the format the Vapi.ai likes it (I looked it up in the documentation) and I am delivering in the exact form. Now, when I go to the webhook log in Vapi I do see a successful response with exactly what I need the assistant to use but instead of seeing the info it is stating quiet. Don’t know if it’s a system glitch or if I’m doing something wrong. HELP is needed.

Is there a way I. Which I can provide you specific info so you can see my setup and let me know what I could be doing wrong. I saw these. But most are not getting the response back to vapi. I am getting it back and I can see it in the webhook log in vapi but assistant stays waiting for the response and I have to drop the call.

@Javdani10 I'm glad to hear about your progress with your virtual assistant and the integration with Make.com. It's quite an achievement to get this far on your own! To assist you better, I would need some specific information about your setup. Could you please provide the following details? 1. The exact format of the response you're sending back to VAPI from your webhook. 2. The configuration of the HTTP module in Make.com that you're using to send the response. 3. The scenario setup in Make.com that handles the availability check and booking. 4. Any error messages or logs from VAPI that indicate what might be going wrong. With this information, I can give you more targeted advice on what might be causing the issue and how to resolve it. If there's sensitive information you can't share here, please ensure you're following best practices for security and privacy. Remember, it's important to ensure that the response from your webhook is not only in the correct format but also that it's being sent within the expected time frame, as delays can cause timeouts. Additionally, double-check that the content-type of your response is set to
application/json
, as this is typically expected by APIs for JSON responses. If you're seeing the correct response in the VAPI webhook log but the assistant remains silent, it could be an issue with how the response is being handled after it's received. Make sure that the assistant is configured to process the response correctly and that there are no additional steps or conditions that are being overlooked. If you're unable to share the details here or if the issue persists, it might be best to reach out to VAPI's support team directly for more in-depth assistance.
I have to routes. One of the time and date asked by the customer is available. One if it is not. If it’s not it will find the availability and give the closest 4 options.
But assistant is not using the response. It’s staying quiet.
It’s an assistant in Spanish so don’t mind the message.
@Vapi
