@Vapi The agent hallucinates on a few calls, it starts reading out the prompt instead of calling the tool. Why does this happen? What's the fix?

@ripthajacker I'm sorry to hear that there have been issues with the agent. Hallucinations in conversational agents can occur due to various reasons, such as errors in the underlying model, unexpected inputs that the model hasn't been trained on, or issues with the integration of the model with the tools it's supposed to use. To address this problem, here are a few steps that can be taken: 1. **Review and Update Training Data**: Ensure that the agent has been trained on a diverse and comprehensive dataset that includes scenarios similar to the ones it's hallucinating in. 2. **Improve Intent Recognition**: Enhance the model's ability to recognize user intents accurately. This might involve retraining the model with more examples or refining the intent classification algorithms. 3. **Debug the Integration**: Check the integration points between the agent and the tools it uses. Ensure that the agent is correctly calling the tools and that the tools are responding as expected. 4. **Monitor and Log**: Implement robust logging and monitoring to capture instances when the agent hallucinates. Analyze these logs to understand the circumstances that lead to these issues. 5. **Update the Model**: If the hallucinations are due to model errors, consider updating the model with fixes or improvements that address these specific issues. 6. **Set Clear Boundaries**: Define clear boundaries for the agent's responses to prevent it from generating outputs that include parts of the prompt or other irrelevant information. 7. **User Feedback Loop**: Incorporate a mechanism for users to report hallucinations or errors, which can then be used to further train and refine the agent. If you're experiencing this issue with VAPI, it would be best to report it to the support team with specific examples so they can investigate and provide a more targeted solution. Please ask support for more info on this.

@Shubham Bajaj Can You help here please ? Or has anybody else here encountered a similar issue ?

Hey @ripthajacker To help track down this issue, could you share the following in your #1211483291191083018 ticket: - The call ID - When exactly this happened (the timestamp) - What response you expected to get - What response you actually got instead This would really help me figure out what went wrong!
