I am attempting to import a South African number from Twilio to Vapi. When I select the country dropdown (on Chrome), I am unable to scroll through the different countries to get to South Africa, and am also unable to search for any country either. Also worth noting, when I attempt to use the dropdown on Safari or FireFox, it doesn't work at all. The dropdown appears for a split second and disappears.

@realmuckraker I'm sorry to hear that you're experiencing issues with the country dropdown while trying to import a South African number from Twilio to Vapi. It seems like there might be a technical glitch with the dropdown menu on the browsers you've mentioned. As a first step, I would recommend trying the following troubleshooting actions: 1. Clear your browser cache and cookies for Chrome, Safari, and Firefox. 2. Disable any browser extensions that might interfere with the dropdown functionality. 3. Ensure that your browser is updated to the latest version. 4. Try accessing the dropdown using a different device or network to rule out any local issues. If these steps do not resolve the issue, it would be best to report this problem so that it can be investigated further. Would you like me to assist you in reporting this issue to the support team?

@realmuckraker When utilizing Vapi as your telephony provider, you are limited to purchasing US numbers and making calls exclusively to US numbers. To incorporate South African phone numbers with Vapi, it is advisable to consult your telephony provider regarding their support for SIP trunking. Should they confirm support, I will be pleased to provide you with the subsequent steps to establish SIP trunking using your telephony provider in conjunction with Vapi.

Hey there, I am not following. We purchased a South African phone number via twilio so that we could utilize Vapi in South Africa. We are looking to transfer this number to Vapi. What is the purpose of the country dropdown in the import number flow, if we can only use US numbers?
@Shubham Bajaj any thoughts?

To make outbound calls to different country numbers if your telephony provider allows it. You can use SIP Trunking to use South African numbers with Vapi.
@realmuckraker refer to the following guides that demonstrate how to establish a connection with your SIP provider. Note: While these guides use Twilio as an example, the process remains consistent across other telephony providers. https://vapi.notion.site/SIP-104008c8393f80feaeb7de8ca19565ed Please don't hesitate to reach out if you require additional assistance.

This is not what I am asking, we are not looking to make outbound calls to a different country. All I very simply want to do is transfer a south african phone number from Twilio to Vapi. This phone number will ONLY receive inbound calls. To be clear, I am unable to transfer the number to Vapi because the international dropdown does not work on the phone number import flow

@realmuckraker I apologize for my oversight and for not fully understanding the issue. Would you be able to record a Loom video demonstrating the process you are following and the error you are encountering? This would greatly assist me in reviewing the matter.
