KB source missing

I’ve encountered a weird error - the KB source is not being displayed for selection. It was working correctly before, as I made sure to add a file previously. Let me know if I might have done something wrong or this is just a bug, please. Need to fix asap https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/1336674769055252594/1336674769361178666/IMG_4740.jpg?ex=67a4aae3&is=67a35963&hm=89adecc3b0ac559914ef169b873d86fdaa6f9008d0175fc63b5ca8c45ddaee7a& https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/1336674769055252594/1336674769592127508/IMG_4739.jpg?ex=67a4aae3&is=67a35963&hm=4e06867efd84bca5b91ea227aa5bb7dc2ebc242bc34261a270c82f94e97672e7&

@mattsuch I'm sorry to hear that you're experiencing issues with the KB source selection. It's possible that there might be a bug or perhaps a small oversight during the setup process. To assist you better, could you please provide me with a bit more information? Specifically, could you let me know the steps you took when you added the file previously, and if you've made any changes to your setup since then? This will help me understand the context and guide you through the troubleshooting process.
You can continue this conversation by mentioning me in the message.

Im having the same problem

@Vapi I uploaded the KB document in ‘files’ tab then chose the file to be the Kb source in agent settings. Then I noted that at some point kb source disappeared and there is no option to choose from right now
v
@mattsuch It sounds like you followed the correct procedure initially by uploading the KB document and setting it as the KB source in the agent settings. If the KB source has disappeared from the selection options, it could be due to a few reasons such as a system update, a glitch, or the file may have been inadvertently removed or corrupted. Here's what we can do to troubleshoot the issue: 1. Please check the 'files' tab again to ensure that the KB document is still there and hasn't been deleted or moved. 2. If the file is still there, try re-selecting it as the KB source in the agent settings. 3. If the file is not there, you may need to re-upload it and then set it as the KB source again. 4. Ensure that there are no restrictions or permissions that might be preventing the KB source from being displayed. If after these steps the problem persists, it might indeed be a bug or a system issue that needs further investigation. In that case, I would recommend reaching out to the technical support team for a more in-depth analysis and resolution. Would you like to proceed with checking the 'files' tab and attempting to re-select the KB document, or do you need further assistance from the support team?

Me too @Talon
I've read that VAPI is migrating to another provider of Vector Storage, maybe they are doing that today
I can see my docs in the files section but then I can not choose them in my agent, could be because of the migration? @Vapi
v
@gdiaz_3 It seems like the issue you're experiencing could indeed be related to the migration to a new Vector Storage provider that VAPI is currently undergoing. During such migrations, temporary disruptions or unavailability of certain features can occur. Given the urgency of your situation with the client demo, I would recommend the following steps: 1. Double-check the 'files' tab to confirm that your documents are still present and intact. 2. If the documents are there, try to refresh the page or log out and log back in to see if this resolves the issue. 3. If the problem persists, it's likely due to the ongoing migration, and the functionality may be restored once the migration is complete. Since this is a time-sensitive matter, I would also suggest reaching out to VAPI support directly to report the issue and inquire about the estimated time for the migration process to be completed. They may also be able to provide a workaround or confirm if the issue is indeed related to the migration. Would you like me to assist you with anything else at this moment?

@gdiaz_3 @Talon @mattsuch We have migrated from Canonical to Trieve, so you have to attach the Knowledge base using API, you can learn more about it from here https://docs.vapi.ai/knowledgebase *It was announced last week. *
