Thanks for the ideas! I haven't seen a call control feature to stop messages. In theory, adding a "system"-role message to stop talking should do the trick, they're supposed to provide unobtrusive direction. But in practice it's responding as though it's a user message. I think it's a bug so I'm gonna log it.
