Definitely needs better version control. There should be a stable version, then /v2/ for changes that have been tested and will be rolled out soon, then a /v3/ for on-going development, and then rollouts that cause functionality to break should be announced with a summary of the changes made and how they might influence things, giving us ample time to fix things using the V2 version that foreshadows the upcoming changes to the stable version.
