I imported successfully a Vonage number, in vonage says it is linked to vapi and it is present in my Vapi numbers. But when I call it it says it doesn't exist. ¿Is this Vonage or Vapi issue? Number has id 7ce0f1fd-d916-482f-9a80-d15da518253d Linked to assistant cf25517e-a493-445b-8119-77333e267f3f

Hi there! Sorry to hear you're having trouble with your Vonage number. I'm unable to definitively determine whether this is a Vonage or Vapi issue without additional diagnostic information. However, I can help you troubleshoot to identify where the problem might be. Here are some steps you can take to diagnose the issue: ### 1. Verify Number Transfer and Linking - Double-check that the number appears correctly in both your Vonage dashboard and Vapi dashboard - Confirm that the webhook settings in Vonage are correctly pointing to Vapi's server ### 2. Check Vonage Configuration - Review the settings for your phone number in Vonage to ensure there are no forwarding rules or configurations that might be causing calls to be redirected - Check if there are any geographic permissions that need to be enabled for the calls you're trying to receive - Ensure your Vonage account is in good standing with a positive balance (if applicable) ### 3. Check Vapi Configuration - Verify that Vapi is correctly set up to handle incoming calls from Vonage - Ensure there are no restrictions set in your Vapi dashboard that might be blocking calls - Check that the number is correctly configured in Vapi ### 4. Review Logs - Check call logs in both Vonage and Vapi for any error messages - In Vapi, look for the "Ended reason" in the call logs - Review the call logs in your Vonage account for clues about why the call is failing ### 5. Test the Configuration - Try making test calls to verify the setup - For verification, you could try using "Free Telephony" provided by Vapi ### 6. Check Number Activation - Remember that it takes a couple of minutes for a phone number to be fully activated after importing. During this period, calls will not be functional If you've gone through these steps and still can't identify the issue, you may need to check the specific SIP configuration or contact support for more detailed assistance.
Would you like me to provide more specific information about any of these troubleshooting steps? Hey Juani, I just looked into the logs, and I don't think there is any issue. So, I suggest you to delete your number and then import it again, along with your credentials. If there was some issue, it could get fixed.

@Juaní The issue may be related to how you imported the number into VAPI or how the number is sent from Vonage to VAPI. For example, if you imported the number into VAPI with a + sign (eg. +12127773456), but Vonage sends the call without it (eg. 12127773456) - the call will not connect. It may also be the other way around.
