I’ve set the "Stop Speaking Plan" parameters in the Vapi UI to their highest values (Number of words = 9, Voice seconds = 0.5s). This setup works as expected when I interact with the assistant via the Vapi UI in my browser. However, when I initiate a real outgoing phone call using a Twilio number and Make (formerly Integromat) — with the same Vapi assistant — the bot stops speaking immediately if I say something like "Hello" while it’s still talking. It seems to detect and act on barge-in too aggressively, regardless of the settings. Is this expected behaviour when using phone calls via Twilio? Or is this feature only fully controllable when using server-side integration (e.g. custom backend via API)? Any insights or guidance would be much appreciated.
