Hey everyone! 👋 I'm working on building an assistant that supports both voice calls and chat using Vapi, and I had a few questions on how best to integrate both. I want to support chat-based interactions alongside the call – basically allow users to chat with the same assistant when not on a call (from my Flutter app frontend). My questions: Is there an official or recommended way to send chat messages to the same assistant logic used during the call? Can we simulate or reuse the same message schema Vapi sends (like add-message) in our own /chat endpoint for this? Is there any Vapi client SDK or utility we can use server-side to process messages for chat without being in an active call? What's the best practice to unify chat and voice assistant logic? Any examples, guidance, or architecture suggestions would be super helpful 🙏 Thanks in advance!

I have also been pursuing this. It is definitely possible, but no where near as clean and easy as it could/should be. Are you making any progress?

Hmmm. I basically have made that except I don't have it doing recurring conversations. Each conversation is new... but, I can think of a couple ways off the top of my head to approach achieving that.

How did you guys do it? Is it possible for you guys to provide me a step by step guidance on this matter?
