Poor Caller Audio Quality

Why does the caller's audio sound so muffled and poor when listening back to the audio recording of the conversation between the AI and the caller? I've tested this on many different microphones and web/twilio, and it all sounds muffled and low-quality. Any ideas? Is it the Transcriber which affects this or what? No wonder the transcriber struggles to convert to text when the audio is dreadful.

are you using twilio or something ?
it does that
if you test it on vapi it sounds fine
but when using twilio or a phone number provider it sounds like shit
thats what i have found

improve input quality, network stability, and the recording setting can help enhance audio clarity and transcription accuracy..

Tried it on both web microphone and calling through Twilio, for some reason all sound like arse. But when I jump on a call with my mates, my mic is fine?
Any suggestions on how improve input quailty? Tried various microphones ranging from a headset to a blue Yeti. Even calling via twilio on my mobile phone when i review the audio it sounds damp and muffled. Wasn't sure if there was a setting or if it was related to the transcription model?

Can you try once getting a new number from twilio and giving a shot?
s
Tried with two, one a landline and one a mobile - plus this test wouldn’t make sense as I’ve also tried it on the web via my microphone on the vapi dashboard

Mind sharing the demo url? I can try and talk it.

Issue seemed to resolve itself. I think I extended the 'first message' to be about 5 seconds long, giving it just enough time for the quality to become normal again. Eitherway, not had any issues with it since, it seems to be more problematic over the web, whereas I'm using Twilio only now. @Blekk
