Yup, it's working again, but it seems like everybody's FIRST try might fail.

I can't because I only have one account. I suspect that it's either account or browser related. All attempts, irrespective of which assistant is chosen, are successfully now 1st try and as expected. If you have access to accounts that haven't been logged into since the change, then maybe try to log into those accounts and see if the first attempt to make a change/patch works successfully? It was probably cache related, just not sure if it's client-side or server-side somewhere.
