is actualyl required. If you dont have it then it breaks the UI of vapi phone number list.. ill need some help clearing the invalid numbers

as far as I can recall, the API doesn't require that parameter. Can you post your API request? what exactly are you trying to do ?

yeah the API says it doesnt require it but if you dont add it, it bricks the UI of Vapi. Im just creating phone numbers via API, i solved it by adding a desired area code. but i have 5 entires of broken numbers

I am having difficulty in understanding how the create phone number API call is used. My issue is- A specific phone number is required and I don't understand how I would know the number before Vapi assigns one. Here is how I envision it working- API request that includes preferred area code. VAPI finds an open number (in that area code). VAPI informs me the number that was assigned.
