I check the logs for call ID : 86952c10-29a5-42ba-b0b0-822ea4d22386 where the caller is not hearing any response from the assistant although the logs are showing that there were model and voice outputs but in call messages bot is not saying anything that's why the caller kept saying Hello again to check whether assistant is still working or not as attached in screenshots https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/1377408581191602376/1377408581351116940/image.png?ex=6838db34&is=683789b4&hm=cd5efe733ad17851314f78ff273343c42438c09071db6c9731560c2dd5b4cfe0& https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/1377408581191602376/1377408581628067860/image.png?ex=6838db34&is=683789b4&hm=660ced665bb524887162bebcf7c1d5902df743865bbfdce6c606f4c209ae1465&

The 404 errors for 'speech-update' and 'conversation-update' webhooks indicate your server endpoint is not found, which can prevent the assistant from speaking during calls. To resolve this, ensure your server URL is correctly set and accessible for these webhook events. For example, your assistant configuration should include a valid
server.url
and the
serverMessages
property:
Copy code
json
{
  "server": { "url": "https://your-server.com/vapi-webhook" },
  "serverMessages": ["speech-update", "conversation-update", ...]
}
Test your endpoint by sending a POST request to it and confirming you receive a 200 OK response. For more details, see the [Vapi Server URL documentation](https://docs.vapi.ai/server-url). Sources: - [Vapi Server URL documentation](https://docs.vapi.ai/server-url) - [Vapi Changelog May 1, 2025](https://docs.vapi.ai/changelog/2025/5/1)
Your server is returning 404 errors for the 'speech-update' and 'conversation-update' webhooks, which prevents the assistant's audio from being delivered to the caller. To resolve this, please verify that your webhook endpoints for these events are correctly implemented and accessible. For example, ensure your server is listening for POST requests at the expected URLs and returning a 200 status:
Copy code
js
app.post('/webhook/speech-update', (req, res) => {
  // handle the speech update
  res.status(200).send('OK');
});
Fixing these endpoints should restore assistant speech during calls. Source: - [Vapi Call Features Documentation](https://docs.vapi.ai/calls/call-features)

What if i did not pass a server webhook URL and did not configure it

If you do not configure a server webhook URL at any level (function, assistant, phone number, or account), Vapi will simply not send webhook events to your server, and any features that rely on server-side event handling (like custom logic for 'speech-update' or 'conversation-update') will not work. The assistant may still function with default behaviors, but you will not be able to process or respond to these events on your backend. Action: If you need to handle events or customize call behavior, set a valid server URL in your assistant or account configuration. For more details, see: [Vapi Server URL documentation](https://docs.vapi.ai/server-url) Sources: - [Vapi Server URL documentation](https://docs.vapi.ai/server-url) - [Setting Server URLs](https://docs.vapi.ai/server-url/setting-server-urls)

What i mean is that will not configure only Server URL in orgs settings which receive 'speech-update' and 'conversation-update' events and will keep the Webhook URLs attached to tool as it is @Vapi Support Bot is is going to impact the behaviour of tool calls or cause any silences ?
