My agent is stuck at either 0.9 or 1.1 speaking speed, unless I update the agent using the API. The UI in VAPI does not allow me to publish the agent with 1.0 speed. Any ideas how to fix this? https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/1381652726102102138/1381652726261223624/Screenshot_2025-06-09_at_17.12.11.png?ex=68484bdf&is=6846fa5f&hm=11fcec318ef8c0d13435c888ed5593801dfe127b8282c6ae6afb84eccee12ee5&

Based on the documentation, setting the agent's speaking speed to exactly
1.0
is only supported via the API, not the UI.
The UI slider limitation you described is not addressed in the official docs, and currently, the only confirmed way to set
speed: 1.0
is through an API update. Could you confirm which voice provider you are using (e.g., PlayHT), as only some providers support the
speed
field? Sources: - [VAPI Speech Configuration Docs](https://docs.vapi.ai/customization/speech-configuration) - [VAPI Changelog March 23, 2025](https://docs.vapi.ai/changelog/2025/3/23)

Use the API with speechConfig.speed: 1.0, and ensure you’re using PlayHT, the only provider that supports speed control..

We regularly switch between models and voices, and sometimes we want 0.9/1.1, etc. Using the API every time we make a tweak or update would result in a slowdown from our side since every provider uses different parameters. Reported this bug also in the dashboard. @User

Hey, thanks for bringing this up. I'll forward this to the team and let you know once this is resolved.
Hey @addeba, I tried to reproduce this on my end but couldn't.
If possible, could you record a loom video describing this error/behavior or inconsistency in the dashboard with the steps to reproduce it? That way, I can share this with my team, and we'll take a look. We'll even try to reproduce the same so we can fix it for you. Also, I'll request you to share your assistant ID.
