I’m experiencing an issue where the userid variable, passed from my frontend application to Vapi, is not correctly propagating to an “API Request” step within my Vapi workflow. As a result, my backend consistently receives an empty string for userid, which leads to failed requests. If I hardcode a valid userId directly into the Vapi workflow’s “API Request” step (e.g., "userid": "vOTW2qgelsecofmgpenLYMpPs903"), the API call succeeds and the data is processed correctly. This strongly suggests that although userid is correctly passed in assistantOverrides.variableValues, it is not being interpolated into the workflow’s API Request step as expected. ANY SOLUTION???

Ensure you’re passing userId correctly in assistantOverrides.variableValues, use the exact {{userId}} syntax in the API Request step (case-sensitive), test with a log or fallback value to confirm it’s interpolating, and if it still fails, send your logs..
