Hi team, quick urgent question: ❗ ❗❗ What price should I use for Vonage and Twilio? Both show $0.014 on VAPI, but their websites list different prices (see attached images). Which one should I follow? Just to clarify, this price difference happens because the calls will be made in Brazil, so Vonage and Twilio have specific rates for the country. I am interested as well. You can ping the Twilio API and get the call costs but this is after the call is done and remember on transfers you accrue costs while the transfer is active, while they are on the call after transfer.

plus you wont get the full twilio call cost back until any transfers are completed so you need a delayed process to get and update the twilio prices for each API call.. @Vapi might be cool if you could do this for us 🙂 by providing the twilio total call cost if we hit the VAPI call details api.

@AiTitus :) do you btw understand why it's still active on transfers ? I'd expect the twilio / vonage leg to close while it is transferred to another number ?

The incoming call leg does close but when you initiate a transfer it then turns into an outgoing leg

Understood, but why does it have to go through Twilio / Vonage ? Can it not simply get back on pstn network and avoid the infra altogether ?

not sure but this is the flow from Twilio incoming -> VAPI Assistant -> Assistant forwards call using Twilio -> Cutomer on forwarded call -> Call end.. this is the full flow for Twilio the transferred call is a Child call of the Parent ...
