07/07/2025, 7:21 PMHi team, I'm trying to connect my GHL number to Vapi. When using the BYO option in creating new phone number, the Create SIP Trunk doesn't work. When you click on that option it takes you to a 404 error page. See screen shots. Any help would be so appreciated!

07/08/2025, 3:46 PMOk. but I'm confused here, if I want to use my already created and verified number in GoHighLevel, why is the system forcing me to create a SIP Trunk? Can you walk me through the steps to use my GHL number for outbound calls in Vapi?

07/09/2025, 2:23 AMI've tried all the configuation settings and have set up the SIP Trunk to be connected with my GoHighLevel SIP. No configurations seem to work for outbound calls trying to use my GHL phone number as the caller id number. I've worked with your Vapi support Ai agent to go through all settings multiple times. Still not working. I'm ready to go all in on this if we can get this working. Please help!

07/09/2025, 7:54 PMThe GHL integration is for connecting calendars, MCP servers, and other related data to be accessed/managed by VAPI tools you create for your assistant, but with our current functionality we do not support integrating with GHL phone numbers at least natively.
You could possibly configure your GHL phone number through the BYO SIP trunking feature if GHL provides that. Another possible workaround is by porting your GHL number into a supported provider (twilio, telnyx, etc) then use that provider's integration with VAPI as we do directly support integrations through those providers.
Please check what your phone number type is on GHL and we will review the options

07/09/2025, 7:57 PMGHL uses Twilio on the backend, but it's managed by GHL not Twilio. So I don't have a Twilio account. GHL does allow us to create a SIP setup and I've tried to create the SIP Trunk in Vapi using the credentials and the SIP Domain/SIP Endpoint, but it's not working.

If not, the problem with creating a new number in Vapi is that I didn't see an option to set up Shaken/Stir or CNAME to ensure the outbound caller ID shows as our company name and not spam!
