Hey Voice AI Community, Would you be able to provide your expert advise on this issue. Most clients use VOIP solutions with web phones for their team. When we set up Voice AI, we get a Twilio number and ask the client’s VOIP system to forward calls to Twilio so our AI agent can work its magic. But… three out of my last three clients hit the same wall: When their VOIP system forwards the call, it doesn’t pass the original caller’s number to Twilio—just the company’s main line. That means: The AI doesn’t know who’s calling, so it can’t personalize the conversation. -We can’t SMS the end user or call them back by name. -The client’s team can’t easily return missed calls. -From what I’m seeing, 99% of VOIP providers (including VoIPLine and 3CX) seem to strip out the end user’s number by default, apparently to prevent number spoofing. How are we solving this as this seems to be a global issue?
