You can get the inbound working. You will need to send the inbound request to sip:phoneNumber@<credential_id>.sip.vapi.ai

i am having the same issue i guess can you help me ? i am getting error "failed to create sip trunk credentials" on vapi when remove inbound perameter its get's done but then how to get turn on inbound perameter

You just need to forward the call to sip:phoneNumber@<credential_id.sip.vapi.ai>
