Hi Vapi team, I’m using the Vapi Web SDK and I noticed that when calling: await vapi.start(assistantId) the SDK automatically requests microphone permission. In my app, I’d like to control this flow manually (e.g., ask for microphone access myself via navigator.mediaDevices.getUserMedia) and then pass the already-approved MediaStream into Vapi, so that users don’t see duplicate or unexpected permission popups. Is there a way to: Pass a custom MediaStream to vapi.start()? Or configure vapi.start() so that it does not auto-request the microphone until I decide? This would help me create a smoother user experience where I control the exact moment of permission prompts. Thanks!
