Letency is a "necessary evil" of VoIP (and telephony in general). Some latency can be mitigated, other can't - it is very much use-case specific.

On web calls our latency is about **665 ms**, but when using a **USA number to call UAE via Twilio** it increases to **3–4 seconds** due to international routing.

For working in the UAE, I would recommend using SIP BYO, and not Twilio (or Telnyx for that matter). UAE Interconnects for VoIP are "challenging" to say the least.

we have customers in the UAE that connected PRI Gateways from Etisalat and DU to our platform, via our UAE SBC platform

that way, latency is relatively low and optimized for proper audio reception

you can also try using a number from viva digitally. they offer SIP trunking with UAE numbers

I'm not sure if VIVA are allowed to connect a SIP trunk to a non-UAE IP number - normally, that is prohibitted
