Action Required: Double-check that you have connected your Google Calendar account in the Vapi Dashboard by going to Providers Keys > Tools Provider > Google Calendar and clicking the Connect button to complete the authorization process.
plaintext
1. Go to Vapi Dashboard
2. Navigate: Providers Keys → Tools Provider → Google Calendar
3. Click "Connect" and follow the prompts to authorize access
This step is required for the
google.calendar.event.create
tool to function properly. If the error persists after this, please verify that your integration credentials are valid and fully authorized. Source: - [Google Calendar Integration Documentation](https://docs.vapi.ai/tools/google-calendar)
h
@Vapi Support Bot I have verified the integration and connected it a few times still same issue
v
Thank you for confirming the integration steps. To help narrow this down: Have you created the "Google Calendar Create Event" tool in the Vapi Dashboard and assigned it to your assistant after connecting your Google account? This step is required for the
google.calendar.event.create
tool to function properly ([docs](https://docs.vapi.ai/tools/google-calendar)). Source: - [Google Calendar Integration Documentation](https://docs.vapi.ai/tools/google-calendar)
h
@Vapi Support Bot yes
v
Thank you for confirming the previous steps. After assigning the "Google Calendar Create Event" tool to your assistant, did you click "Publish" to save and apply the changes in the Vapi Dashboard? This step is required for the integration to take effect. Let me know if you've already published, or if you see any errors during that process. Source: - [Google Calendar Integration Documentation](https://docs.vapi.ai/tools/google-calendar)
h
@Vapi Support Bot yes I have done that
v
Thank you for confirming all the setup steps. To help us investigate further, could you please check if there are any error messages or warnings in your Vapi Dashboard call logs or browser console when you attempt to create a Google Calendar event? This information will help us pinpoint where the configuration might be failing. Source: - [Google Calendar Integration Documentation](https://docs.vapi.ai/tools/google-calendar)

@Vapi Support Bot that is the only issue I am getting. Missing Nango configuration for tool type: google.calendar.event.create
s
I am also getting same issue
It is not able to connect Google Calendar , I did try multiple time..
was there any issues @User
@Vapi Support Bot Can you help with this issue?
v
Thank you for confirming all the setup steps. Since the "Missing Nango configuration for tool type: google.calendar.event.create" error persists even after reconnecting and publishing, could you please provide the Call ID and timestamp of a recent failed attempt? This will help the support team investigate the backend logs and pinpoint the issue more effectively ([Issue Reporting Guide](https://docs.vapi.ai/issue-reporting)). @Vapi Support Bot I first tried connecting Google Calendar through the vapi integration. It redirected me, I selected the account, and it confirmed the connection as successful. But when I returned to the portal, it still showed as “Connect” instead of “Connected.” This issue never gets resolved, I’ve tried more than 20 times. Every time, the redirect says it’s successful, but when I check the dashboard and refresh, it never actually shows as connected.
v
Thank you for the detailed information. Since the integration still shows as "Connect" after multiple attempts and the error persists, could you please provide the Call ID and timestamp of a recent failed attempt? This will help the support team investigate the backend logs and pinpoint the issue more effectively ([Issue Reporting Guide](https://docs.vapi.ai/issue-reporting)). Thank you for providing the Call ID and timestamp. The next step is to wait for the Vapi support team to review your backend logs using this information, as recommended in the [Issue Reporting Guide](https://docs.vapi.ai/issue-reporting). You do not need to take further action until support responds—monitor your email or dashboard for updates. If you receive any new error messages or status changes, please document them for the support team. The issue is not with the assistant, the tools, or the calls. The problem is that the connection to Google cannot be established. Even though it says “successfully connected,” it redirects back to Integrations where it still shows “connect.” The bug is demonstrated here: https://www.loom.com/share/bcf79adb9332457fbf70d7637a8b69a5?sid=c8571563-6a9e-4179-b120-69fd6c2c484b

@Vapi Support Bot I am getting the same error i tried to connect google sheet and calender both but still showing connect instead of connected and giving error Missing Nango configuration for tool type: google.calendar.event.create
v
Actionable Next Step: Since the Google Calendar integration still shows "Connect" after multiple attempts and the "Missing Nango configuration" error persists, the best course of action is to provide your Call ID and timestamp of a failed attempt to Vapi support (as you have done). After this, monitor your email or dashboard for updates from the support team—they will need to investigate backend logs to resolve the integration issue. No further action is required from your side until support responds. If you receive any new error messages or status changes, document them for the support team for faster resolution. Next Step: Since you've already provided your Call ID and timestamp, the best action is to monitor your email or dashboard for updates from Vapi support—they will investigate the backend logs to resolve the integration issue. No further action is needed from your side until support responds. If you notice any new error messages or changes in status, document them and share with support for faster resolution.
