Tools not passing credentials correctly

It does not include it in the header, but when I supply it manually in the header the authentication works.

I cant remove the authentication credential I added, so the ui is bugged there.
Workaround: Going to manually add it in headers because i dont see another option for now.

09/24/2025, 3:47 PMThe credential that is not working is a custom auth with a header name and a token without a Bearer prefix - it isnt passing it through, and its getting a "missing credentials" error from my api, but when manually supplied as a header in a non secured manner it attaches correctly.

09/24/2025, 9:54 PMI can help check why the custom auth header isn’t being passed and look into the issue with removing the credential in the UI. If you share the exact header key and token format your API needs, I can try to replicate it. That will make it easier to confirm if the problem is with how Vapi handles tokens without the Bearer prefix. In the meantime, I can also suggest a solid workaround until it’s fixed @jsieber-eip

09/25/2025, 2:42 PMFYI when i deleted the custom credential i created ,it then deleted all my legacy credentials that were not linked to it and everything broke.
