Until about 2 weeks ago we ran about 30% of outbound calls failing, now we get 90% to 100% of calls failing with "restricted" status from Vonage.... is this a vonage issue vs. twilio? have we neglected to register something or report somethign that all our numbers are now being ignored on outbound?

Suggestion: Check if there have been any recent changes to your SIP trunk or webhook configurations, as misconfigurations here are a common cause of outbound calls being ignored or failing with errors in Vonage. Action step: Review your Vonage SIP trunk settings and ensure all numbers are properly registered and that your webhook endpoints are reachable. If the issue persists, gather a call ID from a failed attempt and contact support for deeper investigation, as this can sometimes be an intermittent platform or network issue ([see troubleshooting guidance](https://discord.com/channels/1211482211119796234/1372358449761091584)). sadly NOTHING at all has changed on our end or Vonage.. just stopped working

I’ve worked with VAPI setups where outbound calls suddenly start failing like this, and it usually comes down to registration/attestation changes with carriers rather than your config. I can help you dig in to confirm if it’s Vonage flagging your traffic or if something in VAPI/Twilio routing is misaligned. Have your numbers been fully registered with SHAKEN/STIR or the A2P 10DLC framework recently? @mirai2021

i have been trying to figure this all out. I don't know how to register shaken / stirred. we just did cnam . research i did recently said US gov changed rules on outbound telemarketing and some rules changed. September 18th apparently. grateful for any direction you can help me with. have registered with Hiya.

@mirai2021 @Vercel The issue of STIR/SHAKEN attestation has nothing to do with A2P 10DLC registration, etc. It has to do with how you send your calls to the network, where from, where to, what presentation is provided and where along the "food-chain" you are located". This Tuesday I'll be holding a special AMA session, specifically related to this topic - https://us02web.zoom.us/meeting/register/6D63tRaYSDihkJtUlpNp-A#/registration You should join us and learn more about this issue - and how to resolve it.
