Request to disable call screening / enable answerO...

Hi Vapi team 👋 I’m using Vapi with Twilio and n8n for automated outbound voice calls. When a customer receives a call, they hear a message in English asking them to “press any key to connect.” Could you please disable the call screening or enable the
answerOnBridge
(or equivalent) option for my account, so the call connects immediately? Here are my details: - Assistant ID: bd1c82ee-8a99-40f0-9b7d-618d59dfe565 - Phone Number ID: 80081cdf-817c-4e35-9c6c-1e1f846a6b3b - Setup: Twilio + n8n + Vapi (outbound calls via webhook → Vapi API) Thanks a lot 🙏 — Jean

Hey Jean 👋 I can help you fix this. The “press any key to connect” message comes from Twilio’s call screening, which is triggered when the call is bridged or forwarded without answerOnBridge enabled. To remove it, we’ll either update your TwiML to include answerOnBridge="true" or adjust your Vapi–Twilio integration settings. Could you confirm whether you’re using a Twilio number purchased directly under your account or one provisioned automatically by Vapi? @JeanPAT

Good afternoon, I am using a number purchased from Twilio.

Good afternoon Jean 👋 Since you’re using a Twilio-purchased number, we can bypass the “press any key” prompt by enabling answerOnBridge or adjusting your Vapi–Twilio integration. This ensures calls connect immediately without screening interruptions. I can guide you through updating your TwiML or n8n workflow to implement this. To provide the exact steps, could you clarify whether your outbound calls use the standard Vapi API webhook or a custom n8n workflow? Once I have that, I can give a precise configuration to resolve it. @JeanPAT
