So, II have a facebook campaign running that sends the leads to GHL as soons as they fill out the FB lead form. Now when the leads come thru to GHL, I have a workflow that uses webhooks to trigger Vapi and call the lead. Now everything is working fine, but I want Vapi to say the name of the lead in the first message like "HI {{contact.first_name}}, .......". Can anyone tell me how I can do it? If need to use make, or other integrations for this?

Hi Aegon, To help you set this up correctly, can you share how your workflow is currently configured in GHL? Specifically, how you're passing the lead data into the Vapi webhook. If the customer information is already being included in your assistant configuration when the workflow triggers the call, you can reference it directly in the first message using either: -
{{customer.name}}
or - the specific GHL field you’re sending for the contact name (e.g.,
{{contact.first_name}}
) Once we know how the data is being passed from GHL, I can guide you on the exact variable to use.

Hey everyone, I could use some help with the GoHighLevel integration. I’ve fully connected GHL to Vapi (green checkmark under Settings → Integrations), and I’ve verified: I’m using a location-level API key My calendars in GHL are active, bookable, have open availability, and I can book using the public links The correct calendar IDs are set inside all the Vapi tools All calendar check + calendar create tools are toggled on for my assistant Despite all that, my Vapi assistant still reports no availability, or fails to actually book a time, even though the calendars clearly have open slots. In the Vapi call logs, the calendar tools sometimes return empty availability or unexpected errors—even though the corresponding GHL calendars show free times. My question: Is there anything additional required for the GHL calendar tools to read availability or create events beyond: connecting GHL through Integrations, adding the location-level API key, and mapping the correct calendar IDs in the tools? Also, is there anything that could prevent availability from being returned even when the GHL booking page shows free slots? Any guidance would be super appreciated! Thanks!

Hi Austin, Great question — happy to clarify. As long as you’ve: - Connected your GHL sub-account via the Integrations page in Vapi and it shows as “Connected”, and - Have full admin access to that sub-account in GHL (or at least ownership of the calendar you’re using), you should be all set from a permissions/connection standpoint. If you’re still seeing “no availability” or failed bookings even though the GHL booking page shows open slots, it’s usually one of these: 1. Different calendar than expected – The calendar ID in the Vapi tool doesn’t match the calendar you’re checking in GHL. 2. Timezone mismatch – The assistant’s timezone vs. the GHL location/calendar timezone can cause slots to appear unavailable. 3. Calendar-level rules – E.g. min notice, buffer times, or max events per day making some times look free on the surface but not actually bookable via the API. If you’d like, send over: - The assistant ID in Vapi - The GHL location you’re using - The calendar ID(s) configured in the Vapi tools - An example date/time that should be available and we can take a closer look at why availability isn’t coming through as expected. Best, Vapi Support
