I'm trying to make calls and figure out what the problem is with the transfer because it's not working. However, the PCAP file doesn’t appear, so I can’t see the call trace.
f
That usually happens when call recording or PCAP logging isn’t enabled in your SIP or Vapi configuration, so no trace file is generated. I can help you set it up are you using a custom SIP trunk or the default Vapi setup for your calls?

I am using a custom SIP trunk, but I can´t see any option to enable the pcap file.

Ah, got it! Since you’re on a custom SIP trunk, we’ll need to tweak a few settings to enable PCAP logging properly. I can guide you step-by-step or even set it up for you so you can see the call traces without issues.
If you want, we can move this to chat and I can help you get it fully working this is something I usually handle as a service for clients like you.

Hi GeraDeluxer, To generate a PCAP file for call debugging, you can follow these steps from the Vapi documentation: 1. Use the provided API endpoint to retrieve the call details.
Copy code
bash
   curl -X GET "https://api.vapi.ai/call/{call_id}" \
   -H "Authorization: Bearer YOUR_API_KEY"
2. The response will include a
pcapUrl
field. Download the PCAP file using this URL and open it in Wireshark for detailed analysis. 3. In Wireshark, you can filter for SIP transfer packets using:
Copy code
sip.Method == "REFER"
For further guidance, you can refer to the [Vapi documentation on troubleshooting call forwarding drops](https://docs.vapi.ai/phone-calling/transfer-calls/debug-forwarding-drops).
