Smart AI-Powered Email Reply Automation (n8n + Gmail + OpenAI) I recently built an automated email-reply system for a project where the goal was to reduce the time spent manually reading messages, pulling out important details, and writing responses. The idea was to create a workflow that could understand the context of each email and respond quickly while still sounding natural and accurate. One of the main challenges was making sure the AI could interpret different types of messages and generate replies that fit each situation. Another challenge was extracting only the key information so the response would stay clear and relevant. To address this, I created a workflow in n8n that uses a Gmail trigger, an information-extraction step, an AI agent with memory, and a formatting module. Together, these parts read each new email, identify the important points, generate a context-aware reply, format it cleanly, and send it automatically.
