Hey Thomas welcome to Vapi I’ve worked through this exact setup before (Claude Code CLI + Vapi MCP on macOS), and the 401 almost always comes from the MCP process not inheriting the Vapi key, even though it exists in your shell. It’s not really a Vapi issue, more about how Node/Claude is spawning the server and loading env vars.
