Google Calendar Not Integrating...
# support

Hey everyone...super new here and trying to get the simpliest thing completed here on VAPI...i'm trying to get my AI Assistents to check google calendar availability and then create an event. I've tried intergrating like 10 different times...youtube videos...chat gpt but its always coming back with the same failed attempt. Error: Missing Nango configuration for tool type: google.calendar.event.create this is the error it keeps throwing...does VAPI not support google calendar any more?
v
Vapi does support Google Calendar integration! To fix the "Missing Nango configuration" error, make sure you connect your Google Calendar account in the Vapi Dashboard: 1. Go to Dashboard → Integrations → Tools Provider → Google Calendar 2. Click Connect and follow the Google authorization prompts. Once connected, you can create and use the calendar tools without this error. For more details, see the [official documentation](https://docs.vapi.ai/tools/google-calendar). Yeah, same problem here - Without the "Mango" issue alert. It just doesn't connect... I can't proceed to marketing the tool if this is not resolved. I have contacted support by eamil, and other than "We're working on the issue", no progress since LAST WEEK!

Hey! I can help with this 👍 VAPI still supports Google Calendar that error usually means Nango isn’t fully connected or the Google Calendar integration wasn’t enabled correctly in Nango. I’ve fixed this exact issue before (it’s not a VAPI bug, just a config step that’s easy to miss). Happy to take a quick look and point you to the exact fix.

What is "Nango"? NEVER heard of it!
a
Nango is basically a service that handles connecting apps (like Google Calendar) to platforms like VAPI securely. Instead of you manually managing OAuth tokens and API keys, Nango stores and manages them so your AI assistants can access your calendar safely.
z
When going through "integrations", it's NOT indicated a service like "Nango" is required
a
VAPI doesn’t clearly say it, but Google integrations in VAPI are handled through Nango behind the scenes. So when you add “Google Calendar” in VAPI, it expects a Nango connection to already exist. If it doesn’t, you get that exact error. @Zax Magic Israel

Hey guys, sorry for the trouble. It's a known bug that's happening for a few days. A fix will be released soon, fixing this issue.

I have the same isuses could you help me out @Adam with this too
a
Sure Send me a message let’s discuss
z
So how do I fix it?
c
It's an issue from the vapi side, and the team will push an update soon, but it might take a few more days. If integration is very urgent, you can create a custom tool with an automation tool like n8n, or make a replica of the tool.

Has "Soon" arrived yet?
c
Not yet, it's fixed, but will take 1-2 days to come in production after proper testing.
r

c
It is fixed.
