I've set up knowledge base from the dashboard, use the default model and when agent query the KB, I go this error message {"error":{"code":404,"message":"This model models/gemini-2.0-flash is no longer available to new users. Please update your code to use a newer model for the latest features and improvements.","status":"NOT_FOUND"}}, Any help? #knowledge_base

Yeah this usually happens when the KB is still tied to an old default model that gemini one’s been phased out for new users. Just switch it to a supported model in your Vapi settings and reconnect it, that normally clears it up. I’ve run into this a couple times after updates and it’s always the model config. Are you manually picking the model in the KB or just leaving it on default? @Dave T

on default
I only have gemini 1.0 pro to gemini 2.0 Flash (experimental) to choose from the dropdown list

Ahh got you, that means your KB is still stuck on that old model even if the dropdown shows Flash. Vapi hasn’t fully mapped it properly on your end, so it keeps calling the deprecated one in the background. What I’d do is duplicate or recreate the KB fresh, then reselect the model and reconnect it to the agent that usually forces it to pick up the right one. If it still shows the same options, then it’s likely your account hasn’t been updated with the newer models yet. @Dave T

thank you for pointing that out to me.

If you want, we can go through yours together and clean it up how many contacts are you usually running per batch? @Dave T

I dont do outbound calls, only inbounds. isn't this a job for a vapi support? I can't be the only person is having this issue, right?
sorry I need a break, I am getting a headache. appreciate your help

Hi Dave, apologies for the delay.
Could you provide us your org ID?
