Yeah this is pretty normal those numbers are usually first token, not when the response is actually usable, so it can feel misleading. In practice, OpenAI just feels faster in voice flows, while Anthropic on Bedrock tends to have extra delay from routing and longer outputs, which is why the real experience feels slower despite better metrics. Are you streaming responses as they come in or waiting for the full reply before playback? @Cheswick
