As a Product Owner and Innovator, I focus on designing accessible, high-impact tech solutions and turning complex data problems into user-friendly products. For this hackathon, I'm leading the development of Doc Assistant: an AI-powered voice agent designed to revolutionize mental health data collection and accessibility for underserved communities. 📊 Our Data Focus: We are working with real-world clinical survey data tracking the Utilization of Mental Health Services by Tribal Populations. Gathering this data is usually bottlenecked by language barriers and manual entry. Our AI agent is specifically trained to extract and process critical variables from conversational input, including: Treatment Pathways: Tracking the patient's "First Contact" (e.g., medical professionals vs. traditional/faith healers) and the time gap before seeking formal psychiatric help. Socio-Demographics: Logistical barriers (distance to facility) and specific Sub-Tribe classifications (Munda, Santhal, Oraon, etc.). Financial Impact: Analyzing out-of-pocket expenditure on non-medical/traditional treatments prior to clinical admission. Psychosocial Metrics: Evaluating stigma using the CAMI (Community Attitudes toward Mental Illness) scale. The Solution: Doc Assistant allows users to complete these complex clinical surveys through natural, empathetic, real-time voice conversations. Powered by Vapi.ai, Gemini, a FastAPI backend, and a custom Vector Database pipeline, our project turns rigid mental health questionnaires into seamless voice interactions accessible directly from a Vite/React frontend.
