Do you use Twilio?
I think enabling PSTN should happen on the phone provider side instead (that's if you are making use of the sip trunking)...
s
Yes, I'm using Twilio. I imported my Twilio number into Vapi. How do I enable PSTN on the Twilio side?
u
PSTN should be enabled by default if you import... What region is your twilio account and what region at eyou making calls to? Is your Twilio a paid Account? And did you enable the geopermission for the region you are making calls to?
s
My Twilio account is US region, making calls to India (+91). Yes it's a paid account with $20 funds. India geo permissions are already enabled. Still getting call.start.error-get-transport on outbound calls through Vapi.

Is The geopermission enabled for both the low risk and high risk?
s
yes

Hi Shubh, We checked the logs for the failed outbound call attempt and received the following error directly from Twilio: 🔴` 00:22:14:189 Couldn't initiate outbound call transport and queue for call 019e1990-16f1-711d-b79d-8937458e20e3. Error: Couldn't Create Twilio Call. Twilio Error: Voice calling has been disabled for this account` At this point, it appears that voice calling is currently disabled on your Twilio account rather than an issue with Vapi itself. Please check your Twilio account settings and billing status to confirm why voice calling has been disabled. In many cases this can be related to: • Trial account restrictions • Billing/payment issues • Voice geographic permissions • Account suspension or verification requirements Once voice calling is re-enabled in Twilio, outbound PSTN calls through Vapi should begin working normally again.
