Masking caller ID on outbound calls!

Hey, Is there a way to show a different verified number as the caller ID on outbound calls, instead of the Twilio number registered in Vapi. In pure Twilio this is doable by verifying a number as Caller ID, but since Vapi controls the outbound call initiation I don't see a way to override it. Does Vapi support any way to mask the caller ID on outbound calls?

Yeah, this is a common issue with Vapi since it controls the outbound call flow, so you don’t really get the same Caller ID flexibility you’d normally have in pure Twilio. In most cases, the fix is usually through SIP/Elastic SIP setup or adjusting the provider side so the verified number is passed correctly on outbound calls. I’ve worked on similar setups before and can help you sort it out directly. Are you using Twilio natively in Vapi or routing calls through another provider? @honeycomb

Hey, you can do this in Twilio if you have used a Twilio number. It's not yet available for VAPI numbers
