Outbound calls are failing instantly for our org across Twilio, Telnyx, and Vapi numbers. EndedReason: call.start.error-get-transport Cost: $0 (never rings) Example call IDs: 019ea817-2441-7002-96bd-b9a16a4a217a 019ea812-ae99-7002-9735-78a3e5e0096b 019ea80d-4695-7115-b39b-0c47257dca16 019ea805-427d-7ddd-b8ab-fdd8350e3ec4 019ea7eb-cb0c-7002-84d1-098f959adc1d We re-added our credit card; still failing. Can someone check org-level transport provisioning?

Hi Sid, I checked your account thoroughly. Your subscription is active, credits are healthy, and your concurrency counter is clear. There is no account-level or billing block involved here. The three phone numbers are each hitting a different root cause. For the Twilio number: the error pattern you are seeing is consistent with a trial account restriction. Twilio trial accounts can only dial numbers that have been explicitly verified in the console, regardless of your geo permission settings. Can you confirm whether your Twilio console shows the account as Trial or Paid? If you upgraded to pay-as-you-go by opening a new Twilio account rather than upgrading the original one, the credentials saved in Vapi would still belong to the old trial account and would continue to block outbound calls. For the Telnyx number: the default configuration for a Telnyx Call Control Application restricts outbound calls to North America only. Please open your Telnyx portal, find the Call Control Application tied to your Vapi credential, and check Outbound Voice under that application. You may need to expand the Allowed Destinations. One additional thing to check: if you ever reconfigured that application in Telnyx, it would have generated a new Application ID. The credential saved in Vapi would then be pointing to the old app and would fail immediately on every outbound attempt. If that happened, you would need to update the credential in Vapi with the new Application ID. For the Vapi-provisioned number: Vapi numbers support outbound calls but are capped at 10 per day, US destinations only. If you have been making test calls across different providers and hit that cap, the Vapi number will fail for the rest of the day. This resets at midnight UTC. Let me know what you find on the Twilio and Telnyx sides and I can help you get through whichever one is blocking you. Regards, Chiranjeet Vapi Support

Hi none of these situations apply to us. We are only calling the USA and the fact that all 3 phone numbers are blocked suggests its an issue on the vapi side. We definitely have not made more than ten outbound calls using our Vapi number per day as well. You should be able to see that in the logs. This is a causing a big propblem in our bussiness at the moment and we are losing money by the second. Apreaciate anything you can do to fix this ASAP. Thank you :0

Hi Sid, Your account is completely clean. No billing blocks, no rate limits, no platform restrictions of any kind. I can see the calls being made on our side and the errors they're hitting. For the Vapi-provisioned number, calls are failing immediately with an outbound restriction error. For the Twilio number, calls are failing with "Account not allowed to call" on the destination number, even though it is a US number. On the Twilio side, this specific error persisting after your upgrade is most likely a project mismatch. Twilio organises accounts into separate Projects, each with its own Account SID and billing status. Upgrading your Twilio account upgrades one specific Project. The credential saved in Vapi is tied to one specific Project by its Account SID. To verify this: go to your Vapi dashboard, open Credentials, and find your Twilio credential. The Account SID shown there is AC3fb02ae97e7a77f94eb3fda2973a8146. Log into Twilio and find the Project with that exact Account SID. Check whether that specific Project shows as Trial or Paid. If it still shows Trial, upgrading that Project directly should unblock your Twilio calls. If that Project is already paid and the number is verified, please let me know and I will escalate this for a deeper look at why the restriction is persisting. I understand this has been going on for weeks and is impacting your business. I am treating it as urgent. Regards, Chiranjeet Vapi Support
