I would use the CLI but I can't authenticate it but idk if that would help anyways. The docs have good setup advice for claude but not codex. I got it working in vscode codex extension. Codex desktop uses the same plugins, skills, etc. so I'm surprised it doesn't work there but it does not. Screenshot of codex desktop conversation. I stored my api key in a setx variable b/c codex vscode said it was exposed otherwise. Please advise on how to setup for codex.
