Azure openai billing charges

Hello - we are seemingly being charged for our Azure openai billing usage even though our providers keys are plugged in and our azure deployment is definitely being used by Vapi. Am I misunderstanding the charges or is there an issue with the calculation? https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/1253001413395742741/1253001413802459196/Screenshot_2024-06-17_at_2.29.25_PM.png?ex=66744400&is=6672f280&hm=45eb487913dc3fb9c3969162f35b989ad47d9bf3c8163b3a5600723d271f91cb&

@Tripp (Summit) Hello! I'm here to help you with your billing concerns. If your provider keys for Azure are on file and you're seeing charges that you believe should not be there, it's possible there might be an issue with the calculation or the way the charges are being applied. To assist you further, I can look into the details of your account's usage and charges. Could you please provide me with the relevant billing period or any specific details that could help me investigate this for you? Once I have the necessary information, I'll be able to provide you with a more accurate answer.

Can you send me the call_id?
t
Hey @Sahil here's an example call id
8ebe0228-8bb6-49bd-b375-72405660c929
s
Thanks.
Just use this parameter assistant.model.provider="openai" and it will work.

Thanks @Sahil that seems to have worked for new calls. Were we mistakenly being charged for calls like
8ebe0228-8bb6-49bd-b375-72405660c929
? Our Azure deployments were definitely used but we still have LLM costs for Vapi
s
Just provide me the difference amount for each mistakenly charged calls along with your call_id and send it to support@vapi.ai
Also, send your account email address

@Tripp (Summit) Hey Tripp, just a heads up in-case you haven't noticed yet. I started getting charged again even though I thought I was still using my azure deployment. Now we need to set the provider to "azure-openai"
t
@Jotham thanks for the heads up. How did you figure out which value to set?
j
just got lucky on my first troubleshoot 😄
