401 when trying to transfer call to the SIP URI

We are using bandwidth.com for our phones product. When trying to transfer the call to Vapi we get immediately disconnected. Their support team claims the error is a 401 on Vapi’s end but Vapi’s docs state that there is no auth behind the SIP URI. Is there a way for us to verify this on our end through the dashboard?

@carlosguso I understand that you're experiencing issues with transferring calls to VAPI and are encountering a 401 Unauthorized error. While VAPI's documentation states that there is no authentication required for the SIP URI, it's important to ensure that the SIP URI is correctly formatted and that your system is properly configured to handle SIP REFER messages. Unfortunately, there isn't a direct way to verify SIP URI authentication issues through the dashboard. However, you can check the following: 1. Ensure that the SIP URI is correctly formatted and that you are using the correct SIP address provided by VAPI. 2. Verify that your system is configured to accept SIP REFER requests from VAPI. 3. Check any logs or debugging information available on your end to see if there are any additional details about the error. 4. If possible, perform a test call and monitor the SIP messages exchanged to pinpoint where the issue might be occurring. If after these checks you are still facing issues, it would be best to reach out to VAPI support directly for further assistance. They may be able to provide more detailed logs or guidance specific to your situation. Please ask support for more info on this if the problem persists.

I'm also having the same issue when forwarding from bandwidth.com. Was there any resolution for this?
