Is it against TOS to use VAPI as part of our backe...

For example, we are working on a platform that allows people to build their own agents (in a similar way vapi does) but with extra functionality and capabilities catered towards certain niches. I read through the TOS and it was a bit ambiguous to me, as I don't intent to "try to create a competing product" as we are mainly targeting lower level businesses and agencies. @Shubham Bajaj @bryant Thanks guys! Good job with getting realtime plugged in btw.

@SlaviSavanovic Thank you for your kind words and for considering the terms of service (TOS) carefully. It's great to hear that you're working on a platform to empower businesses and agencies with specialized functionalities. While I can provide general support for VAPI, I'm not equipped to interpret legal documents or provide legal advice. If the TOS seems ambiguous regarding the development of your platform, it would be best to reach out directly to the legal team or support staff who can provide clarity on the matter. They can offer guidance on how your platform can complement VAPI without infringing on any terms. If you need assistance with technical aspects or have any questions about integrating with VAPI, feel free to ask, and I'll be happy to help!

Hey @SlaviSavanovic you can use Vapi for building voice agents.
s
Yeah! That's understandable - thanks for getting back to me. I suppose my questions is not if we can build voice agents, but rather, can we use Vapi as a backend system for our interface so our customer can construct their own voice agents and then use them for the the tasks that need to be completed?
For example, a customer can build 8-10 agents on our platform and then use the tools & functions on our platform to perform certain actions on behalf of the user. We have extended functionality past what Vapi offers and do not want to engineer the socket-hell of a backend to make the agents work like Vapi. <- That's some context
s
Hey @SlaviSavanovic yes you can do it and use Vapi as backend, we don't have any issues with it.
s
@Shubham Bajaj Amazing, thanks so much!
