Blocks Mode Overwrites Previous Assistant Settings...

I went to test blocks mode and it asked me to select one of my assistants without informing me once you apply blocks mode to an assistant there is no rollback feature. Applying blocks mode to an assistant does not create another assistant it upgrades the previous assistant into blocks mode and deletes your system prompt 🤦 Will have to pull a backup of my prompt from previous call logs, then recreate the assistant. https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/1306270732094804008/1306270732849909810/CleanShot_2024-11-13_at_09.42.282x.png?ex=67360eec&is=6734bd6c&hm=fa2eaa3c3f9fb2f0803035ca2ad4a66f8e86ed66ecef5d49d9999f1c860b2016&

@Taylor Hance I'm really sorry to hear about the inconvenience you've experienced. It's important to have clear information about such significant changes, especially when they involve irreversible actions like applying blocks mode to an assistant. If you need to retrieve your previous system prompt, I would recommend checking your call logs or any backups you may have. If you require further assistance with this process or have any other concerns, please don't hesitate to let me know. I'm here to help you through every step.

Hey @Taylor Hance if you can share call id associated with your assistant not in block model, I can try getting the system prompt.

How were you able to test it? I don't see a way to add it to an assistant and the Talk with Assistant button that'
that's on a few youtube videos now appears to be gone.

My calls are being posted to VAPI from my database, but the test call within web interface can also work. Not sure why you wouldn't see that button.
All good, I got it back 👍 But I think other people will have same issue if there isn't a more obvious disclaimer message when enabling blocks mode on an assistant.

@Shubham Bajaj I need help with this too, as there was no warning adding a block would decimate my entire long ass prompt. How do I find a back up in logs? And how to do I get rid of the block sitting there now, when I deleted it, I go to the agent and it's got a block area intead of the old prompt area.

After assigning an assistant to a block, you can revert to the previous system prompt by selecting the LLM provider you were using earlier (instead of Vapi). This will restore the original system prompt.
s
@Superskillz can you share the call id where it was an assistant?

Thanks found that out @Timon
